This Side of the Light – A Child’s Reason to Be is my debut novel. It will be published later this year – date to be confirmed but I will keep you updated on here, on my Facebook page, and my Instagram account.
I have plans to write a spin-off from Part One, His Brother’s Child, once publication for This Side of the Light is finalised. I am considering a series.

27 July 2021 Well I don’t know what I’m doing with this site. It’s doing all kinds of things that I don’t want it to do. Now I’ve lost the front page! For heaven’s sake! I’ll try coming back tomorrow!
28 July 2021 Well, after a difficult day yesterday, I finally managed to sort out the page. Writing is one thing. Social media and modern technology is another! I’m on Instagram, RachaelTrask654. If anybody knows how to post to Instagram from a laptop, it would be great if you could let me know. I get the impression that Instagram was designed for youngsters who are just on the phones 24/7! I’m fine with posting from my phone but one of my friends is struggling with it.
8 August 2021 As you will see, I have changed the book title and cover. Thought it needed something a bit fresher and more eye-catching. The title needed to be punchier!

So, the book is nearly ready for publication. I’ve changed the font on the new cover. The techie stuff is all a bit daunting but I think I’m getting there. It may be ready before I expected it to be! We shall see. It’s unbelievably nerve-racking!

Finally! Finally! This Side of the Light: A Child’s Reason to Be is ready to be uploaded to Amazon KDP. Publication date at the moment set for 1st November 2021, but I’ll post if any change to that date.
